From Singapore to Madras via Incognito frames

Eychelle and Imran love the city as much as we do and luckily we were shortlisted by the couple when they were looking for a wedding photographer in Chennai to capture their portraits with Chennai city as the backdrop. Now, since this was something out of the box from our usual pre or post-wedding portrait sessions that we do, we were excited and more than happy to oblige their request. Sharing here, some of the best shots from the beautiful portraits we created, which is easily, our recent favorites and one of the best portrait session that we have ever done.

The urban myth on Marina beach Part II

The Marina Beach!

This lockdown has given us enough time to get back and process all the images that we had kept in the backbuner for all these years. During the process, we realised that we have a big collection of outdoor portraits of couples taken in our marina beach. The Marina is one of our all-time favourite beaches where we have shot most of the couple shoots right from our early days, arriving at the Marina before sunrise along with thousands of fitness enthusiasts and early morning vendors and leaving the spot before the city wakes up is something which we love doing over and over again.

Though we take the couple to almost the same spot, each session had a different tale to narrate, the infinite landscape of the grand Marina beach facing towards the east and the ever changing morning skies are something that one should witness to believe.

Usually, when discussing with the couple to shoot in the Marina beach often they would suggest a beach in ECR but we insist on doing the shoot in Marina for various reasons. Since last year, we have been conducting basic workshops for beginners and intermediate level photographers and wedding photographers and every time show this picture many would not believe that such beautiful pictures can be shoot in Marian beach. Let’s not forget Marina is the second longest beach in the world and with all humility, we have realised that even people who are are a regular here, haven’t explored the length and breadth of this beautiful Beach in the heart of the city.

Though we have already posted a blog on couple shoot in Marina beach, this is an updated one with more beautiful and never before published images from our favorite shooting ground.

As of today, we have 6 WPJA Awards for couple portraits, out of which 3 have been from our favourite Marina Beach.

Among all the pictures that we have shot in the marina beach, this is our all time favorite, sometimes, you should be blessed with a beautiful skyline during a portrait session especially if its a couple portrait session and the early morning skies in Marina have been kind with us. Marina Beach has seen it all, right from Emden's bombing in the World War II to the recent Jallikattu protest, this place has been a witness to everything that has happened to Madras. Marina Beach according to us is one of the most underrated outdoor location for couple shoots, the roaring waves, colourful sunrise, pigeon's assembly and thousands of early risers sweating it out for fitness, all this with a perfect vintage and urban landscape are one of the few glamorous attractions that you can find here. We confess, that though we have done only half a dozen couple shoots here, we are yet to capture this enigma.  in the picture: An outdoor shoot in progress with one of our favourite couple!

Our first ever couple shoot series in the Marina beach, extremely cloudy, we couldn’t even spot the sunrise but everything about the shot was magical, we got some great pictures. Year: 2017

Again one of our first couple portrait session in the Marina beach, this shoot was planned a couple of days before the 2016 Pongal and we were extremely lucky that we complete this shoot as per scheduled a couple of days after we took this shoot, the entire beach was taken over for the famous Jallikattu protest.

One of the recent couple shoots we did in Marina. This was the most elaborate couple shoot we ever did, we shot in 4 different locations, the last one being in Singapore.
